Plan to encourage interaction among participants.
Interaction to exchange experiences and methods is a core component of this workshop. The plan to encourage interaction is not limited to the well-known short questions and discussions after each presentation but actually emphasizes on bringing the attendants to test and discuss methods, have panel discussions and peer-to-peer talks. Interaction to exchange experiences and methods is a core component of this workshop. The plan to encourage interaction is not limited to the well-known short questions and discussions after each presentation but actually emphasizes on bringing the attendants to test and discuss methods, have panel discussions and peer-to-peer talks. Specifically, the attendants will have the possibility to interact in the following ways:
- Through the specifically themed panels, in which the organizers will promote a discussion to analyze the future research challenges and technological gaps, as well as the requirements for practical applications
- Through the preparation of a document summarizing and organizing key questions and motivating the attendants to provide their opinion during the discussion session.
- Through presentations of posters depicting the most recent results and trends in the field. The poster materials will be collected and uploaded on the website after the workshop.
- Through an online platform the organizers will create allowing attendants of the workshop to directly comment on presentations and ask questions, thus facilitating a more rich interaction. The organizers will gather these questions and organize responses.
- Through the pre-, peri- and post-workshop effort to prepare a roadmap for the needs and challenges in aerial robotics with an emphasis on the aforementioned topics.
- Through discussions after the presentations. Every presentation will be followed by questions and an open discussion with and among the attendants.
- Through the common release of a dataset which will bring different teams to collaborate on developing a large dataset to create a point of reference for aerial robotic results.
- Through a set of questions given to the audience to understand needs, challenges, and future problems.
- Through the use of social networks allowing live interaction between participants and remote researchers.
